COACHING AGREEMENT

Cancer & Intimacy Coaching Agreement

This agreement outlines the terms of our work together so we can create a safe, clear, and supportive space for healing and growth.

1. The Nature of Coaching

Coaching is a collaborative, forward-facing process designed to support you in creating greater connection, understanding, and intimacy in your relationship. My role is to offer tools, insight, and compassionate guidance as you navigate changes related to cancer and intimacy.

Please note: Coaching is not therapy or medical treatment. It is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or professional medical advice. If either of you are currently in therapy or under medical care, I encourage you to inform your providers about this work for integrated support.

2. Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions and via intake forms or communications is kept strictly confidential. Exceptions include:

  • If I believe you are at risk of harm to yourself or others
  • If I am required by law to disclose information

I will not record sessions without your explicit permission. I may request to use AI with your explicit permission to gather notes from each of our sessions. You are welcome to record sessions for your personal use.

3. Commitment & Participation

Coaching works best when both partners are:

  • Willing to be open and curious
  • Committed to showing up (even when it’s hard)
  • Respectful of each other’s experiences, boundaries, and growth

This is a judgment-free space, and all parts of you are welcome. You may each have different needs, perspectives, and pacing—this is normal and expected. I will hold space for both of you with care.

4. Sessions & Scheduling

Sessions are conducted via Zoom (unless otherwise arranged).

  • Single sessions are up to 90 minutes.
  • 3-month program includes 6 × 75-minute sessions.
  • 6-month program includes 12 × 75-minute sessions.

Session dates will be scheduled in advance. You’ll receive reminders via email or text (depending on your preferences).

5. Rescheduling & Cancellations

You may reschedule a session with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the session being forfeited, except in cases of emergency or serious medical events (including treatment side effects). I will always do my best to be flexible within reason.
No refunds are offered for unused sessions once the program has begun.

6. Communication Between Sessions

You may reach out via email between sessions for clarification, support, or check-ins. I typically respond within 48 hours on weekdays. Text messaging may be used for logistics but not for in-depth coaching.
If your program includes between-session support (e.g., 6-month package), I will clarify the specific limits and boundaries around that communication.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full before the first session unless a payment plan has been arranged. Installment payments are due on the same day each month as your initial payment.
All payments are non-refundable once sessions have commenced.

8. Consent & Agreement

By signing below, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agree to the terms above. You understand the nature of this coaching relationship and consent to participate voluntarily.
